Stallion Madness 2017

Help me decide which stallion to choose as the perfect boyfriend for Lady Macjazz this year by taking part in the #StallionMadness2017 bracket I'm hosting on the OTTB Training Facebook page through Valentine's Day.

How does it work? Why are they "headless"?

Simply stay tuned to the OTTB Training page as four stallions will go head(less) to head(less) each day presented as two pairs each day beginning Monday, January 30th. All you have to do is respond to the post with #A or #B to cast your vote, and you're also more than welcome to include comments about why you chose that horse.

Winning horses will move on to be included in a later challenge until there are only two remaining stallions. Those two will go head(less) to head(less) on Valentine's Day to fight for Freja's eternal love.

Why headless and black and white, you ask. It's all part of the fun of trying to focus on conformation. Don't worry, I realize there is a lot more than conformation that goes into a big decision like choosing a stallion for a mare, so in addition to the Stallion Madness 2017 bracket, I will also be sharing posts here on the blog covering details about the stallions' pedigrees, videos when available, color photos that include their heads as we get closer to the finals, and notes about their temperaments and offspring.

I've already done a lot of preliminary research about each of the 30 stallions, and I've met most of them in person, but I'm counting on your feedback to help me make a final decision. The final choice may not be the horse that wins Stallion Madness 2017, but the outcome will definitely play a part in my decision and that stallion will have eternal bragging rights knowing he was one of the most eligible bachelors for the honor of being Freja's 2017 boyfriend.

So, please join me in this fun (and educational) experience as we help find the perfect match for Lady Macjazz (aka Freja) while helping share our knowledge about conformation. www.facebook.com/ottbtraining

Love this idea! Helps educate others on these great stallions in a fun way and provides a platform to share conformation thoughts/opinions!
